FRP is committed to the
restoration, reconciliation, and well-being of multicultural urban
families in the city of Rochester.
To this end we have identified a need to focus on producing
holistic social, behavioral, and educational programs for youth
between the ages of 13-21 years.
The goal of “Future
Hope Project” is to engage in planned community initiatives and
partnerships to provide easily accessible and reliable youth
programs.
Youth on
the Move Program

“Youth
On The Move” is a newsletter for the YOUTH of Rochester, by
the YOUTH of Rochester.
The purpose
of this newsletter is to enlighten, share, encourage, and
highlight the achievements of Rochester’s youth. This newsletter
features poems, articles, artwork, event write-ups, and questions
of the month from Rochester’s youth.
Youth Fit Program
 The
“YOUTH FIT” program is a teen fitness program for youth ages
13-20. This is an
8-week program, which
aims to increase self-esteem, self worth, self-love, and
motivation in our youth.

On Sunday, October
24th, 2004, The Future Hope Project team
(including 1 adult and 8
teens) participated in the Al
Sigl Center Walkabout. This team raised $248.50 for
children and adults with disabilities. It is good to see
the youth of Rochester involved in community service for
the sake of others.

Youth
Summit

"Let's talk about Sex": that was the title of the May 14th
Teen Summit where 35 young people ages 13-18 gathered at New
Life Fellowship Church to talk about the "real deal"
concerning sex and sexuality. The teens enjoyed snacks, small
group dialogue and an exciting panel discussion that explored
issues of abstinence, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted
disease and much more!
Please check back often for information about the upcoming
Teen Summits, and other youth programs. For more information call 328-9270 or use our
contact form to ask any
questions you may have.
