
Mission:
The mission
of The Restoration House Cooperative Counseling Center is to provide quality counseling to
residents of the city of Rochester, particularly Southwest Rochester.
We aspire to positively impact the current healthcare system by providing
streamlined and efficient assessments and delivery of care to those who
are in economic hardship.
Further, we
desire to engage in activities that promote mental health education and
preventative mental health care among multicultural urban families.

Counseling
Office and Providers:

We are an after- work hours Counseling Center that
operates from 5:30pm - 8:30pm (3 days per week) out of the
Family Restoration Project
building located on 360 Wellington Ave. |
| v We are able to
accommodate up to 4 individual or family counseling sessions per hour. |

v Our
providers are volunteer therapists, clinical social workers,
psychiatrists and professional counselors who have at
least 4-5 years of post-educational experience. |

Partnerships are pending with local university counseling departments
to provide student/trainee placement at the
counseling center. |

(4 zip codes - 14608, 14611, 14619, 14620), but open
to residents of other parts of Rochester
upon appropriate referrals
(agency partners, area hospitals, churches, etc.) |

Although we seek to assist individuals from a variety of backgrounds,
at this time we do not accommodate clients with
crisis
or emergency situations, clients with Psychosis, MICA
or other heavily medicated psychiatric problems. We
do
not prescribe medications. |

A
telephone screen and initial intake assessment will help us determine
whether we can meet a client’s needs or whether
we
need to make an alternative referral. |
Other Services:
My Brother’s Keeper
(faith based) Men’s Addictions Group,
purposes to bring about sustained deliverance from a variety of addictions
for men of every race and background in Rochester. We seek to restore men
back to right relationship with God and help support them as they rebuild
their families. Through spiritually based group sessions, teachings,
books, prayer and deliverance services, men will be delivered, restored
and empowered and gain the ability to empower other men to do the same.
Faith Connections For Women is a
faith based Women's Addictions Self-Help Group. We are committed
to seeing women be delivered and self-empowered through a strong
relationship with God and communion with other women. We provide group
Support for women ages 18 years and older facing various life
challenges.
